I Got Two Cakes!

Hi, bestiesssssssss!

I literally just sounded like one of those overly excited YouTubers. 

No shades to anyone, please. I loooove their energyyyyy.

I do not intend to sound all dramatic right now but let it be known that my friends outdid themselves on the 11th of August.

*drops mic.

No, I’m not even exaggerating!

They left me speechless with the love I received on my birthday. 

It rained credit alerts on my birthday.

Well, Maybe “rained” is a bit of a reach but what I’m trying to say in essence is that people sent me money on my birthday.

I laughed so much. I cried too. My parents called to pray for me.

There was a mini party at my house. There was rice and chicken too.

My Landlady came with wine.

I got cute emails.

I got a second cake from a very nice sissy.

The story behind the cake is on the note.

This was the note she attached to the cake. Very cutesy, very demure, very mindful.

I received really nice and thoughtful gifts.

I was gonna do a gift haul but I’ll pass. *Evil grin.

I felt loved, appreciated, and seen. 

It’s the little things, fam. It’s really the little things. 

At the end of the day, I’m just a girl. 

It was another round of tears when I got to the office the next day.  I became reaaaaally emotional when I heard my colleagues say nice things about me.

I’ve always been a crybaby and I can’t even deny that one.

Hearing those words made me want to do better and be better. 

A words of affirmation girlie through and through.

Again, I felt seen, loved, and appreciated.

Yeah, the birthday ended after 24-hours but the love I received is still right here in my heart.

Jesus loves me ooo.

Jesus loves me like maaaad. That’s why he placed really amazing people in my life.

…and I got a couple of reactions. While some set of people were being sarcastic in the comments section, another set of people felt I was throwing jabs at them.

I know for a fact that my friends try to match the loveeee and energyyyy I give out. I mean, someone legit sent me emails every day from the 1st of August till my birthday. 

If this is not love, I don’t know what is.

I believe we should give all the love we can, regardless of how others reciprocate. Jesus loves us with reckless abandon, so why shouldn't I love my friends with the same openness and generosity?
